FAQ
Is Cactus Seed Oil safe for everyone?
It is generally considered well-tolerated by all skin-types! It’s lightweight, high in vitamin E, linoleic acid and low on the comedogenic scale. As with any new product, patch-test before use is recommended.
How does 100% pure cactus seed oil smell?
100% pure cactus seed oil has a light, and slightly nutty aroma. In its cold-pressed, unrefined state the scent is delicate and fades within minutes, making it easy to layer with other products or fragrance.
How long will a bottle last?
Typically, a bottle will last 1-2 months when used twice daily.
Is your pure cactus seed oil ethically sourced?
Yes! None of our products are tested on animals and are vegan. All our products align with our values of transparency and sustainability, with complete traceability.
Where does your cactus seed oil come from?
Our cactus seed oil is grown and produced on our farm in the Free State, South Africa. This farm-to-face approach ensures purity, traceability, and sustainability, straight from our land to your skin.
Why is cactus seed oil pricier than oils like argan?
Cactus seed oil is one of the rarest and most valuable oils in the world. Each tiny seed holds only a small drop of oil, meaning it takes nearly a ton of cactus fruit to produce just a single litre. The process from hand-harvesting to carefully separating, drying, and cold-pressing the seeds is slow, delicate, and highly labour-intensive.
In contrast to oils such as argan, cactus seed oil is available only in limited quantities, since the seeds are gathered annually during a short harvest season. What makes it worth it, is its extraordinary potency: exceptionally rich in vitamin E, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants, this oil delivers unparalleled hydration, radiance, and skin protection.
